His insights were about the only valuable thing said that day (see my rant here: http://off-centred.blogspot.com/2007/01/tale-of-two-web-20-events.html).<br /><br />Having had to hire in an exec director of a Jewish pre-school in the area, we ran into the same issues and ended up going the newbie route as well (although hopefully your hire worked out better than ours).
